I’m on a 30 day journey for health and right now I miss my daily gluten intake. I thought that by Day 11 my craving would start to fade, but it hasn’t. I started thinking about just how much gluten I normally consume and I think I might be above average. I love bread, oatmeal, cookies, and crackers. I know I have strong will power, I was vegan for 4 years, I can totally manage a different diet for 30 days, but when I was vegan I stayed full with a lot of crackers and bread.
With my current program, Arbonne’s 30 Days to Healthy Living and Beyond, I’ve given up gluten, wheat, soy (that’s in so many things!), refined sugar, alcohol, and corn. I am doing a lot more cooking where I focus on lean proteins, complex carbs, healthier fats and lots of veggies. It took all of my will power to not eat the amazing mac and cheese that I cooked for my family. They support me, but are not on this 30 day journey with me, which creates other challenges. Even though this is hard I'm sticking with it, I’m curious to see what changes await me on the other end. And I’m curious to see what habits stick. I’m already more aware of my snacking habits; I would just grab a cookie or piece of bread without really thinking of how that can affect me. Sugar crashes were a part of my norm. Can I keep them at bay once these 30 days are over? Only time will tell.
It is easier to get up in the morning, and I'm starting to feel lighter. And being a big fan of tea, I love having many cups of Arbonne's detox tea, my liver is already super happy, I'm sure.
